Originally a training base for Special Reservists from 17/01/1940. Loaned to the Army 01/04/1944 to 07/1944/ Became Stokers traing base 10/1947. New entry training establishment from 1958. Incorporated Supply Sch. in 1983 and S/M Sch. 17/09/1997.
